PENCILS AND POPCORN TUTORIAL

watch the movie with a pencil and paper plotting:

1. the characters; the relationship of each character to the other and to the whole and the 'events'. 

2. the plot; what 'events' occurred, how did these events affect the characters, how did the various 'events' lead to one another and how were the 'threads' tied together at the end. 

3. What metaphors and symbols were used to indicate future events or indicate characters

4. You will present the movie and your analysis. Feel free to use youtube video clips or still shots from the movie in your presentations.

5. You will draw/storyboard the scene you liked best (was it the composition? the lighting? the camera angle?).

6. You will redraw the scene you felt was the weakest (was it the composition? the lighting? the camera angle?)

7. You will deconstruct a transition or 'segway' that linked one setting to another most effectively {in your opinion} and what you felt the storyboard artist did to make it an effective transition.
